Onverse Wiki

March 20, 2009

Hello everybody and welcome to our new website! As you can see it is quite different from our previous site. This first bit of news addresses some of the site changes and new features.

First, I'd like to note that if you were signed up at our old forums/website, you will need to go through our conversion process into the new site to get a true Onverse account that will be tied to our game, the forums and our new social networking features. Simply go to the My Onverse tab and above the Sign In form, follow the link into the account conversion tool.

Home Tab[]

This area is the public area. Here you can find out information about Onverse, get the most current news, visit the forums and download the software (once Beta opens). The Blog area from the old site has been converted into the News area of the Home tab.

My Onverse Tab[]

This is the private area where you can set up your profile, find and visit friends, and check your mail. Our profiles have many features, such as uploading pictures or your favorite video links, writing blogs, commenting, and updating your status. From the Friends area, you can view your current friends and will eventually allow you to invite and find friends. We have also set up a mail system so you can mail people who aren't currently online.

Forum Tab[]

Here is our forum area where you can communicate with our development team and other members. There are some new forums included and some of the old ones have new names, but the idea is still the same. All of our data from our previous website should be converted over.

Help Tab[]

Here is our FAQ, Terms of use, Privacy Policy and information on contacting us.

Future Website Goals[]

We will continue to update our site and add new features. We would like to work towards implementing the best features you like from other social networks and new features unique to the Onverse site, especially involving cross-links between the gaming world and the site.

Please keep in mind that this new website is the first stage of our beta release. We wanted to get the website out first as a place for people to hang out while we continue to build and polish the virtual world. The website was built from scratch and will be an evolving beast as we move forward. For feedback, bugs, and general discussion on the website, there is a new section in our forums (which are also new) specific to the website. We look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Another surprise is coming soon... until then, thanks!
